IEEE Open PocketQube Kit Now Available: Democratizing Space Education
Nov 15, 2024
Our laboratory is proud to announce the launch of the IEEE Open PocketQube Kit, a comprehensive open-source platform designed to make satellite development accessible to students, educators, and space enthusiasts worldwide.
The IEEE Open PocketQube Kit provides all necessary resources to design, build, and test PocketQube satellites—miniaturized satellites measuring 5x5x5 cm. This initiative aims to lower barriers to entry in space technology education and research by offering complete hardware design specifications, software development tools, and testing protocols in an accessible format.
The project includes extensive documentation through our comprehensive Wiki, which guides users from fundamental concepts through advanced topics in satellite development.
Our GitHub repositories host the satellite control software, providing a robust foundation for customization and improvement by the community. The interactive Wiki serves as a knowledge base, offering detailed tutorials and practical guidance for satellite development.
Visit our project website in the Academy section to access the technical documentation, GitHub repositories, and interactive Wiki. These resources have been carefully curated to support both individual learners and educational institutions in their space technology endeavors.
